My name is Michael. EvylMyke is just an inside joke that my friends concocted. I adopted it as a moniker, mostly due to the catchy tune they also put with it. I just moved to Wise. New place, new town, new opportunities.
I work for the VA Dept of Corrections. It's in an interesting job full of challenges and opportunities. It's not what I want to do, but it brings home the bread. I am in the midst of filling out paperwork to go to college. I am still not sure what for, but I have no doubt I will come to a conclusion.
I'm what I like to refer to as an Executive Metal head (Thank you Eddie Izzard, I know he said Executive Transvestite, but I'm not a transvestite, so I stole it and re-purposed . My inner self is the metal loving, baby kicking, reveling evil maniac but society and work doesn't really seem to accept that. (Public Service Announcement: I, in no way actually kick babies or think I am an evil maniac. I do enjoy laughing like one though!). So for 5 days a week I dress like a profession and on the other two days, I let myself take back over and just have fun. I am very random. I jump from one topic to another as my mind races along. But in the end I fight my way back to the origin, one side story at a time. It's important that anyone I am with be able to keep up but also have something to say. I love to talk to people and enjoy who they are. I'm a nerd and I make no attempt to hide that, I am who I am. I enjoy anything fantasy, grim dark, magical. (Dragons, Knights, The Hobbit, Lord of the Rings, Warhammer 40k, Warmachine/Hordes, and to some extent Harry Potter. Bonus points to anyone who knows what they are and even more if you can hold a conversation about it.)
I read constantly, I'm an avid Pathfinder fanatic and enjoy the co-existing Pathfinder Tales novels. I just finished The Screwtape Letters by C.S. Lewis and The Walking Dead 1-96. Graphic Novels are an interesting read but I'm not sure they are for me. History and physics are my educational passions.
Oh and next chance I get. I'm going back to Europe (Germany to be more specific), to experience real history, culture, and learn more about my ancestry.
I have preferences on what I like in/about a person just like anyone else, but I don't let that limit me. How would I know I don't like someone based on what or who I think they are, unless I gave it a try? I love the goth/punk look. Women with dark clothing and bright hair/make-up just feel right, but not a necessity. But in the same regard, I'm not really into the Barbie Doll type.
